Sunrise Hyperion LTK System
|
Laser Thermal Keratoplasty or LTK is a procedure that involves applying two rings of laser energy to the mid-periphery of the cornea, gently heating the collagen, within. The collagen gradually shrinks, resulting in a steeper cornea. This treatment is used to correct low to moderate levels of farsightedness (hyperopia). ![]() Two rings of laser energy to the mid-periphery of the cornea. |

Why we've chosen the Sunrise Hyperion LTK System:
- This non-contact procedure can reduce or eliminate farsightedness and offer those who have difficulty reading small print the opportunity to read without bi-focals or reading glasses.
- The actual laser procedure takes only about three seconds.
- Nothing touches the eye before, during, or after the procedure except for the laser beam itself and an instrument to hold the eye open.
- Because the LTK procedure is a non-contact procedure it can be done in an office setting rather than a laser center.
- There are an estimated 70 million Americans over the age of 40 who are farsighted or have difficulty reading up close.
