
NovaVision VRT™ Vision Restoration Therapy
Approximately 1.5 million stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI) victims in the U.S. suffer from significant vision loss, and that number grows by more than 90,000 new patients each year. Previously these patients went untreated, but now Jones Eye Centers is offering a vision therapy that treats this neurological vision loss. You know how many patients can work to gradually regain the ability to use arms and legs that were paralyzed by stroke. Patients with stroke or TBI typically need time for impaired brain functions to recover, and after most injuries, therapy can help to restore function. VRT is considered a personalized physical therapy program for the brain. As with any rehabilitation program, you need to work at it every day. So the VRT device is used at home for consistent daily treatment.
